Audie McCarthy, put together an interactive workshop for 160 women at our recent Women’s Leadership Forum. It was received with great enthusiasm by the participants. Her book “Networking Edge: Building Relationships for Success” is an easy and effective read. Her approach both in the workshop, and in her book is practical, to the point, and very implementable. Audie is a professional whom I highly recommend.

Audie practices what she preaches. She is an active member of the Oakville Chamber
of Commerce, demonstrating her strong ability to build relationships by consistently
attending events, speaking at chamber conferences and supporting chamber activities
through her newsletter. I am honoured to endorse her book on networking - she is an
example of someone who walks the talk.
John Sawyer, Executive Director, Oakville Chamber of Commerce
As an executive on our Board of Directors, Audie exemplifies the practices described in
her book. By reading the book and completing the exercises, you will increase your
comfort level and ability to network in any situation. I recommend this book to anyone
who wishes to grow their business and/or number of friends.
Dave Cage, Executive Director, Stoney Creek Chamber of Commerce
Audie McCarthy is a household name in our community - the “go to” professional for
expert consulting on partnership and relational development. Her years of experience

When asked for advice on business success, I counsel people to build bridges to“nowhere”. While it is good to focus on the job at hand and develop yourself fully, it is
equally important to do some things in life where there is not an immediate reward.
When you build a bridge to nowhere, perhaps through volunteering or mentoring, you never know what will come back across it. Some of my most interesting experiences
have resulted from opportunities which crossed a bridge built at an earlier point in my
career. I think this is a critical lesson learned from networking. Audie McCarthy has set
down the basic rules of networking in an easy-to-read and informative book appropriate
for a person of any age.
