Networking Changed My Life
It all started with one of our Realtors asking me how I could smile on the phone every time she called.
“Where are you from to have such a bright outlook on life?” she asked.
I told her I was from Kenya and gave her the scoop. I also mentioned that I was having a rather trying time meeting like-minded people, even though I’m an outgoing person.
The Realtor invited me to a “big” networking event for lunch where I met a few people. I hit it off with one lady in particular and she, in turn, invited me to more networking sessions. Through this lady, I ended up meeting a group of Chief Executive Officers in Port Credit.
Three months ago I moved to Port Credit and my whole life has changed. The number of beautiful people I am meeting and the stuff I’m getting involved in is incredible! We have some pretty exciting events in the area that I’m volunteering for, one of which is a Black & White Calendar for 2006 to raise money for cancer research.
Networking is essential, whether you are in business, at home or a celebrity!
