A Merry Tale of Networking
. . . Once upon a time, in a fair little hamlet quietly nestled by the water – in fact, rumour has it they call this hamlet “The Jewel By The Bay” – there were two fair maidens . . . oh heck, let's not kid ourselves . . . Correction: There were two (wanna-be) fair (long time passed by) maidens who had a chance meeting upon a Chamber event. (Does this then make them Chamber maids? Oh, lets hope not . . . that conjures up visions of chamber maids doing pots . . .no, no, no, no!)
Anyway, back to the story . . . They (these fair dahlings) embarked upon an age-old tradition, and exchanged scripted-cards.
Then one day, way off in the distant cousin-country of Stoney Creek, one such maiden named Audie called upon that other fair thing named Lourdette, requesting the pleasure of her company and goodies-van to stop by and draw up ideas of things to place upon Audie’s lovely dining room windows.
Guess what! Lourdette ended up outfitting Audie's windows with stunning silk Romans! (Get your mind out of the gutter – Blinds – not hulking silky Romans!) And then the two gals went of merrily about their lives, having connected for each other's benefits, and lived happily ever after!
Moral of the story . . . Get the heck out there and network like crazy! It's good for you all!
