You Don’t Always Realize You’re Networking
I had a networking experience right after I had been downsized from a large corporation.
I was at the orthodontist’s office with my son, speaking with the receptionist. As usual, I asked her how things were going and she inquired about the same with me. I explained to her that I was let go from my job due to downsizing and was about to start looking for a new position.
Three weeks later, the orthodontist called and offered me a job as his receptionist in his new location in Oakville. Networking works in mysterious ways!
